Half-round guttering is the most popular profile for UK residential properties, because its classic styling suits a wide range of property types and rooflines.

Width112mm
Flow Rate0.9 l/s
Area Drained43m²
Square black uPVC guttering union fitting

Square Profile

Square guttering offers clean, contemporary lines and, as a result, a larger drainage capacity than half-round profiles. It’s popular on both modern homes and commercial buildings.

Height57mm
Width117mm
Flow Rate1.6 l/s

White ogee uPVC guttering fitting

Ogee guttering has a flat back and plenty of capacity, so it’s particularly well suited to period and Victorian properties where classic detailing matters.

Deep black uPVC guttering union fitting

FAQ

Guttering & Rainwater FAQs

What types of guttering systems are available?

We stock four profiles: round, square, ogee and deep-flow. Round is the most common choice for standard residential properties, while square suits modern homes and commercial buildings. Meanwhile, ogee is a traditional S-shaped profile that’s ideal for period properties, and deep-flow offers the highest capacity for large roofs or heavy rainfall areas. In addition, all profiles are available in multiple colours with a full range of matching fittings.

What is deep-flow guttering used for?

Deep-flow guttering is designed to handle higher volumes of rainwater more efficiently than standard profiles. As a result, it’s commonly used on larger residential roof areas, commercial buildings and agricultural structures, where standard guttering may otherwise overflow during heavy rainfall. With a flow rate of 1.8 l/s and a drainage area of 86m², it therefore provides reliable performance for demanding applications.

Are uPVC guttering systems durable?

Yes, uPVC guttering is highly durable and specifically engineered for the UK climate. Because it resists corrosion, rot, UV exposure and temperature fluctuation, it maintains its performance and appearance over many years with minimal maintenance. Unlike cast iron or aluminium alternatives, for example, uPVC won’t corrode or need repainting.

Do you stock all the fittings needed for a complete system?

Yes, we stock all the components required to complete a full rainwater management system, including gutter lengths, brackets, union joints, stop ends, angles, outlets, downpipes, pipe clips, hoppers and accessories. As a result, sourcing materials for a complete installation is quick and straightforward from one local supplier.

Which guttering profile should I choose for my property?

The right profile depends on your roof area, property style and expected rainfall. For most standard residential properties up to around 43m², round guttering is usually the best fit, while square is a good step up for larger homes. Similarly, ogee is the natural choice for period and traditional properties, and deep-flow is recommended for large roofs, commercial buildings or areas prone to heavy rainfall. If you’re unsure, our trade counter team can help you select the correct profile and calculate quantities for your project.

Do you offer trade discounts?

Yes, we offer competitive trade pricing for all counter customers. On top of this, opening a trade account gives access to even better rates, priority counter service and cash or credit account options. Applications take less than 3 minutes and, in most cases, are approved within one working day.

Is delivery available?

Yes, we can arrange delivery across Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. However, delivery charges vary depending on location and order size, so please call our trade counter team on 01775 661 186 to discuss your requirements and arrange delivery to your site or business.
