About Cover Fascia

What is cover fascia (Cappit) used for?

Cover fascia boards, also known as Cappit boards, are fitted directly over existing timber fascia that’s still structurally sound. This gives a clean, low-maintenance uPVC finish without the cost and disruption of removing the old timber completely.

How is cover fascia different from full replacement fascia?

Cover fascia is thinner, at 9mm compared to 16mm, since it’s designed to sit over existing timber rather than replace it structurally. If your timber fascia has rotted or is no longer sound, a full replacement board is the better option instead.

Sizes & Ordering

Why does the Swish range have more width options than Freefoam?

Swish’s SFN range covers nine widths from 100mm to 600mm, while Freefoam’s FW range covers seven widths up to 410mm. In practice, the extra Swish sizes are useful for wider fascia boards or unusual roofline dimensions — our trade counter team can advise on the right width for your project.
